SMAP leader Nakai: "Tohoshinki is Asia's super-group"

The 5-member male group Tohoshinki attended Japan's top end-of-the-year program "NHK Kohaku" appearing for the first time and did a great performance.

In
Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan last December 31st of the previous year TVXQ appeared on NHK Kohaku for the first time peforming their Oricon Weekly Chart toppers "Purple Line" and "'どうして君を好きになってしまったんだろ" (Why did I fall in love with you?)

TVXQ appeared wearing a white costume and was one of the first appearances on stage, where they were presented looking relaxed. As TVXQ's song ended, the ones on the audience seats erupted in big applause. The crowd was cheering.

One of those present at the audience during TVXQ's performance was the leader of the group SMAP's Masahiro Nakai. "Asia's super-group was born in Korea," he said of TVXQ. One of the actresses who cheered for TVXQ in the Kohaku festival was one of their self-proclaimed fans, Mari Sekine [of Music Japan fame] "After their broadcast appearances I became a fan. My father is very fond [of them]" she revealed.

TVXQ appeared on stage once more after the end of their performance in an interview with Nakama Yukie, the moderator of the Red Team. They were proficient in Japanese, following the introduction session of Sachiko Kobayashi.

Meanwhile, after TVXQ appeared on 'Kohaku'
they are going straight to the program of TBS 'CDTV Year-Ended Premier Live' New Year Special. This signifies higher position as well in Japan.
