Who is Korea’s 2008 best star?
Results for ‘2008 Best Star Top 5 that I would pick’ poll conducted by JaeKyeong daily newspaper on celebrities who had brought excitement to the Korea’s entertainment and sports realm have been out.
The poll was divided into 5 categories - singers, actors, broadcaster, gagman and sportsman.
And #1 goes to actor Song Seung Heon. Following behind is actor Kim Myung Min and #3 goes to group Dong Bang Shin Ki.
Singer category
A total of 44,461 votes goes to the singer category this time
#1- Dong Bang Shin Ki (44,498 votes)
#2 - group WonderGirls who brought us hit songs ‘So Hot’ and ‘Nobody’ (15,992 votes)
#3 - Big Bang
#4 - Rain
Actors category
72,104 of the total votes went to the actor category
#1 - Song Seung Heon (27,157), who starred in ‘East of Eden’
#2 - Kim Myung Min (25,336) who starred in ‘Beethoven Virus’
Gagman category
#1 - Shin Bong Seon topped the category with 16,000 votes out of the total of 29,451 votes in the category
#2 - Im Byung Man
Broadcaster category
A total of 33,473 votes casted under this category
#1 - MC Yoo Jae Seok with 16,661 votes
#2 - Kang Ho Dong with 10,000 votes
Sportsman category
A total of 30,392 votes
#1 - Jang Mi Ran who won Silver medal at the Beijing Olympics (14,865)
#2 - Star skater Kim Yeon Ah (6,114)
The Best Star of the year will be given a trophy. Meanwhile, the poll will continue under 29th noon. The final results will also be announced at the same time.
